Après le meurtre de son ex-femme, Ming, un officier de la brigade politique de Hong Kong, part sur les traces de Di, une mystérieuse tueuse à gages. Il découvre rapidement la professionnelle, mais il devra s'associer avec elle afin d'échapper à leurs ennemis communs, d'où un drame psychologique qui tiraille tous les protagonistes de ce film noir.
